What Is Patio Furniture Re-Strapping?
Re-strapping is the replacement of the vinyl straps that form the seat and back of a patio chair or chaise. Old straps are stripped off, broken rivets, clips, and end caps are replaced, and new commercial-grade vinyl strapping is installed at the correct tension so the seat supports weight evenly instead of bowing.
Signs you need re-strapping
Straps that have stretched so the seat sags in the middle, cracked or split strap surfaces, straps that have pulled free of their clips, or faded strapping that no longer matches the rest of the set.
A single snapped strap usually means the rest are close behind — the whole set was exposed to the same sun for the same number of years.
